Dress That Mama: A Little Bit 70’s

DSC_0122DSC_0163

I wrote and prepared this post last week and decided to publish today, despite the sadness and despair I’m feeling about this election… honestly, I’m downright scared of the man this country has elected, scared of the possible consequences of us putting him into power. Heartsick right now. Here’s the original post, though it seems totally inappropriate this morning…

The weather around here has been crazy! Last Wednesday, we had record-breaking temperatures for November — topping out at 84. It was warm enough to wear my silk blouse that is as light and airy as a summer breeze, which is the season I got the most wear out of it. But I do love it paired with these wide-leg jeans, which remind me of the 70’s. Though… I did miss being born in the 70’s by exactly 34 days, so… there’s that.

  1. I first skimmed this post on my phone without the update, and saw the “Have a lovely Wednesday!” and figured you had scheduled this post, because I honestly scoffed at the notion.

We went to the garden this morning – as we do every Wednesday morning. My daughter burst into tears in the parking lot and didn’t even want to get out of the car. She’s so angry, and so hurt. I barely slept last night. I keep hoping it’s just a bad dream.

  2. I have been eyeing those pants for a while now, do you find that they fit true to size? I’m normally a 10 but I’m worried they would be too tight.

    1. They do fit a bit on the smaller side. I sized up this time. They do stretch a bit as the day goes on, but if you’re looking for a looser fit, definitely size up!
