  1. I read the first 10 on here and may come back for more—some people binge on Netflix, I binge-read Crumbbums. I laughed and teared up a little and had grand realizations… like that Doo-da is really just a cute toddler’s version of $#@*%.

I’ll be in town most of next month and would love to see you guys!

  2. Congratulations! What a fantastic record of your family. Amazing to realize how big they are now after seeing those old posts. For a minute I thought Andrew had trumped your 1000th posting by posting himself, that would have been super sneaky.

  3. That is so exciting! I’m curious, if and how you print your blog? I am wanting to have something tangible for all the things I am sharing and just don’t know where to start. Any suggestions?

Can’t wait to read through those birth stories, (since I started reading your blog after them.) I LOVE me some birth stories:)

  4. Elisa, please email or text me and we will set up a visit. Can’t wait to see you, lady! The boys will be over the moon excited too!

And Erin, we have not printed out the blog, though it’s something I often consider. If/when we find a good way to do it, I’ll be sure to post about it.

  5. Congratulations Lauren–1000 posts is amazing! It’s always so fun to see/read what you guys are up to and I truly value your perspective and insights. Thank you for sharing!

  6. Amazing! Looking forward to checking out these selections. I have my own favorites {the one where you talk about your dad and your childhood, the teddy bear’s picnic activity, one I saw once in the archives about Oliver speaking very very quietly, the one about getting help or having a babysitter (I need to re-read that one and apply it I think), and any and all that include hilarious confessions about what a shitfest parenting can be- while simultaneously being the most amazing thing ever}. Congratulations, it is such a special archive for your family and an accomplishment for which you guys should be very proud!

  7. Quite an accomplishment, Lauren! I’d forgotten about that gross eyeball, and that story made me laugh out loud all over again. It’s so cool that you’ve kept this up so you (and all of us) can enjoy these memories.
And you are a brave woman to wear so much white around young kids! I still haven’t incorporated that color back into my wardrobe.

  8. Yes, I know, it might be brave or maybe silly, but I have roughing-around-in clothing too, which is designated for gardening and muddy work. I think the key is to buy in washable fabric and to carry a stain stick around!
