<\/p>\nHello! Yes, we are still doing the blog. No, I am not dead. Though I felt pretty close to it a few times over the past month. To make a long story short, I somehow contracted Thrush in my mouth which spread down my esophagus with a little help from two misdiagnoses and some wrongly prescribed antibiotics. Not being able to eat, drink, or sleep resulted in TWO rounds of hospitalization (for a total of 5 days) plus one home-administered IV drip from my mother-in-law, an ultrasound of my gallbladder and a scoping of my esophagus and stomach and about two weeks straight of throwing up everything I put into my body… and I emerge relatively unscathed. A couple of extensive ultrasounds revealed a healthy, active, pug-nosed baby boy who is amazingly normal for the fiasco of starvation and drugs he has endured over the past month.

I couldn’t have been more surprised, and yet, not disappointed in any way. Three boys makes sense for us. It just seems right, and we are thrilled. And a little part of me is completely relieved that there will be no pink castles, barbie dolls, or mean-girl drama in our future. Cause honestly, that stuff scares the bejesus out of me.
\nAnd, thanks to an amazing amazing AMAZING husband, the house, children, finances, laundry, cooking (okay, more thanks to our neighbors for this one), and cleaning were all taken care of. My mother and mother-in-law, along with father-in-law and their kids came to entertain the kids for more than a couple weekends, and a new babysitter was discovered and added to our weekly routine. And though I am in no way completely back to normal (think major acid reflux and just an overall weakened state), I am keeping food down and gradually taking on more household responsibilities every day. So… there’s my excuse for not blogging. Honestly, it was a really scary, humbling experience. I had never been away from Milo and Oliver for that long before, and it was hard on all of us. But now, excuses aside, I will be better about blogging. I have missed remarking on so many quirky things the boys have done, so many stories and so much growth they have both undergone. Pictures and stories of what we have been up to are coming, so please come back to check. I promise, it will be worth your while!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
