This post is looooooong overdue, but I still wanted to share some pictures of the wonderful wedding we attended in Philadelphia at the beginning of the summer.<\/p>\n

It was a whirlwind trip, driving the 7 hours to Andrew’s mom’s house in Ohio to drop Milo and Oliver off, then another 2 hours to the airport, where we hopped on a plane for Philly, our old stomping grounds. I think the last time I was there, I was pregnant with Milo! Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to see alllll the people we would have loved to see, but we were lucky to catch dinner with some good friends and Andrew surprised me with a really nice hotel room near Rittenhouse Square for our two-night stay. And though the weather was unseasonably cool and a bit rainy, we had a fantastic time walking around in the city, taking our time and eating in cozy restaurants, watching cable TV and attempting to sleep in a bit (like, until 7am)!<\/p>\n

The actual wedding was held in a community garden in the middle of the city- the perfect place for our friends Ryan and Imani, who are the most generous, community-minded people we know. The ceremony was heartfelt, the reception creative, the love palpable.<\/p>\n

I have to say, this little trip was just what we needed. We even ended up leaving the wedding a bit early to go back to the hotel room and watch The Food Network while eating chocolate cake in bed. A perfect end to a perfect trip! Congratulations again to Ryan and Imani, who are now somewhere in Russia! We will miss you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
