Our Milo is growing up so fast. Yes, it’s going to be one of those posts. The I-can’t-believe-how-fast-time-is-flying-by post. Cut me some slack, people. I have some major third trimester pregnancy hormones coursing through my body right now!<\/p>\n

He will be four in two months. FOUR! And though Milo has always seemed so fiercely independent, he is still a baby in many ways. To me. Not to anyone else I guess. But THIS is the child who actually made me into a mommy. Before him, I was “just a lady.”<\/p>\n

He is intense. Stubborn. Argues a little too well (sound like someone you know?). Affectionate. Independent. Insanely brave. Smart as a whip. And now…<\/p>\n

Sneaky.<\/p>\n

He has started to tell little white lies. For now, innocent ones. And then he tells us afterwards that he was “just tricking” us hahahahahahaHA!!! Which is soooooo different from fibbing, right?! But I guess the whole point is, he is becoming his own person. Before now, he didn’t know he could <\/em>lie.<\/p>\n

And for now, the sneakiness is kind of cute in its hilarious obviousness. Like walking sideways with both hands behind his back while watching your face intently to make sure you don’t see that he has the exact thing you told him was forbidden. Or hiding large plastic bugs inside of his shirt thinking you won’t notice the odd bumps and bulges when you told him to leave the bugs at home this time.<\/p>\n

Or sneaking out of bed to hide behind the curtain and read by the nightlight.<\/em><\/p>\n

… But bring it on, buddy. Cause this momma used to be the queen<\/em> of sneaky way back when. So when I’m not laughing hysterically at your hair-brained schemes, I’ll be plotting my counter-sneak-attack.<\/p>\n
