We spent most of our waking hours enjoying the weather, taking long walks and frequenting playgrounds. Milo got a little sunburn on Sunday (oops!) when we hiked to an extra-sunny playground and didn&#8217;t think to apply sunscreen (it&#8217;s the end of October, for pete&#8217;s sake!).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8047\/8110999725_d35e92e8c3_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0067\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8055\/8111008562_4907faf938_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0087\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8468\/8111000123_1427923279_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0071\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We played games like &#8220;chase the butterfly&#8221; as tons of monarchs (I think?) are migrating south for the winter and must be passing through our neighborhood for the last of the flowers&#8230; and &#8220;leaf catch,&#8221; which involves 100 points for whoever can catch a leaf falling from a tree before it hits the ground (harder than it sounds, for sure).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8476\/8110999323_d9ebfd3015_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0061\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday night, Andrew and I met up with friends at the Trampled By Turtles concert, where we had a little <em>too<\/em> much fun and were feeling rather&#8230; um&#8230; <em>sluggish<\/em> the next morning, if you catch my drift. Ugh. I seriously don&#8217;t know how people go out more than once a month when they have little ones who wake up at 6am the next morning! But man oh man do I love these guys. One of my favorite songs:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ejfMrZQU3Eo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Also? I did manage to witness this unlikely event yesterday:\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8183\/8111002579_6fe74e9c16_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0088\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8048\/8111003263_007751a819_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0093\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oliver protecting Emil. Usually it&#8217;s Milo who dashes to the rescue, but I guess big brother instincts are developing in our Oliver after all. He really does love his little troublemaker.
