Andrew came up with this one on a cold winter day and the three of them spent what seemed like hours playing and building.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials Needed<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 15px;\">a few spaghetti noodles (uncooked)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>mini marshmallows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have done this activity with toothpicks before, but what we liked about the noodles was that we could break them into any size lengths we wanted, making for a lot more creativity. They worked together on a large structure, trying to build as high as possible, and learning the best lengths and combinations for the strongest structures:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8082\/8443599326_2e746d3070_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0034\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8195\/8443598436_0f2f344a03_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0019\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8054\/8442506991_80bbe95daf_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0025\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Triangles seemed the way to go!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8222\/8442506353_f568a6bdf6_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0016\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8055\/8443597560_acb48cd80a_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0013\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Giving very little guidelines allowed for a lot of creativity: Milo came up with the idea to make a bow and arrow, and it actually bent and moved like a real one!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.static.flickr.com\/8327\/8442503267_585ec0e093_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0007\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sky&#8217;s the limit! And the added bonus? The marshmallows hardened after about a day, making the structures even stronger.
