Lucky for me, he screamed for an hour straight during the dinnertime hour instead of Milo&#8217;s bedtime hour, so I was able to put him down for 10 whole minutes before he began to scream again (and unfortunately, the sling, the swing, the nursing, the rocking, and the swaddling all fall short&#8230; the only thing that seems to work is bouncing insanely hard on the exercise ball with him which is kind of difficult to do when trying to do other things at the same time). This means we got through half of a book in silence! Woo-hoo! Success. And Milo was asleep before 8:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>But I do have to say, I have no room to complain. After I posted that last entry, I started to think about my good friend from high school who stayed at home with her two girls (now three girls) while her husband was deployed in Iraq. And then I thought of my sister-in-law who did the same thing. I can imagine that you get into a single-mom routine of some kind, but MAN! I now have no idea how you get through it with your sanity intact.<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s to all the single momma&#8217;s and military wives out there who are raising more than one kid on their own. I am humbled by you!<\/p>\n<p>p.s. Dear Andrew, please come home soon.<\/p>\n<p>p.s.s. Just kidding. We are doing fine. And your young Oliver has gained over 3 pounds in one month.
