Also, keeping it nicely trimmed up keeps it healthy and growing (tip: always take the leaves from the bottom of the stalk, trimming off any hole-ridden or damaged leaves as you go- you can take everything but the top four leaves, and it will keep on growing as long as it&#8217;s getting plenty of water and sunshine).<a title=\"DSC_0054\" href=\"http:\/\/farm8.static.flickr.com\/7334\/10463019746_e405784e94.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7334\/10463019746_e405784e94_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0054\" \/><\/a>Eating kale in raw salads or saut\u00e9ed and kale chips with sesame oil; eating chard as gratin, in white bean soup, and in quiche.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to a weekend filled with friends and Halloween parties!
