He&#8217;s been a real\u00a0<em>booger,\u00a0<\/em>especially during nap or bedtime. It&#8217;s certainly no secret that we&#8217;ve had crap luck when it comes to sleep with our kids. Not one of them slept through the night consistently before the age of two, and Emil&#8217;s going on\u00a0<em>three,\u00a0<\/em>and well, it&#8217;s complicated.<a title=\"DSC_0004\" href=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3860\/14517883819_4314685e4f_s.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_0004\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3860\/14517883819_4314685e4f_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0004\" width=\"1024\" height=\"731\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Standard nap or bedtime shenanigans include 5 or 6 outfit changes (we had to remove the dresser from his room again because of this &#8212; back to jail cell mode), 10 &#8211; 20 escape attempts, numerous requests for drinks of water, hugs, kisses, or questions (recently to remind him of the word &#8220;hamster,&#8221; which he\u00a0<em>needs\u00a0<\/em>to know but keeps forgetting &#8212; &#8220;What&#8217;s dis animal?&#8221;), followed by the inevitable crying that it&#8217;s a &#8220;boo-tiful day! Not time to s-yeep!&#8221; And good lord the red jammies.
