I constantly hear from his teachers how expressive he is, especially when it comes to his feelings. Lately, he has been singing\u00a0<em>interesting\u00a0<\/em>versions of Christmas songs pretty much constantly throughout the day. It takes much restraint to keep from laughing out loud (he does\u00a0<em>not\u00a0<\/em>appreciate being laughed at &#8212; who does?).<\/p>\n<p>Emil:\u00a0<em>A snowflake just be mad at me. So I be sad. Then I be strustrated (frustrated).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"DSC_0013\" href=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8574\/15785015729_806a1ce1b4_s.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_0013\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8574\/15785015729_806a1ce1b4_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0013\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" \/><\/a><a title=\"DSC_0009\" href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7509\/15783636658_fe8f2d8359_s.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"DSC_0009\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7509\/15783636658_fe8f2d8359_b.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0009\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(To me in the car on the way to school):\u00a0<em>You know, Mama, you grow smaller and smaller until you are a baby. Then I be big and take care of you. I be your papa and I drive this car!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(Also in the car, after I pointed out the pretty sunrise):\u00a0<em>I did dat with my\u00a0<\/em><i>paint-bwush! But now he&#8217;s nice.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mama! Fwee-year-owds can do dis!\u00a0<\/em>(jumps onto the couch)<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_0670\" href=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7530\/15348840864_a0d653c3d7_s.jpg\" rel=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"IMG_0670\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7530\/15348840864_a0d653c3d7_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0670\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The things I will miss most about Emil at this age are his truly passionate hugs and kisses, his constantly telling every one of us how much he loves us, and the costumes.
