So, you know this place<\/a> I was telling you about? Well, it belongs to a very nice woman who employs very nice people in her store\/restaurant, and those nice people invited us to join them on their Annual Winslow’s Farm “Day in the Country” potluck last Sunday! I think we were invited mainly because of Milo’s outgoing nature… he kind of became the mascot of the place, aided by his always wearing a costume like Thor or Captain Hook, or an old man with a mustache, or his goat hat… plus wings… plus bumblebee rain boots… you get the picture.<\/p>\n

So thanks, Milo, for making us some friends.<\/p>\n

Oh, and we all hopped into our friend Ingrid’s van (woo-hoo, minivan!) and headed to the country together<\/em>, quiche and glazed pumpkin cookies and two screaming babies (well, only at first) in tow. The weather was blissfully warm yet still autumn-y. And once we arrived…<\/p>\n

Miss Sassy and Mr. Grumpy<\/em><\/p>\n

… two eager buddies lead the way to the lake, the food, and the fun.<\/p>\n

And of course, the caramel apples.<\/em><\/p>\n

We really only knew a handful of people there, but no matter. There were kids, there was food, a little fire, two big pots of chili (one veggie, one meat-y), even two rowboats to explore the lake (though we watched from the pier). And since we passed on the boat ride, Milo and Eliza invented a new use for the boat: slide.<\/p>\n

And Oliver, not to be left behind, was right there with the rest of ’em.<\/p>\n
