Dress That Mama: Poppy Red

DSC_0101DSC_0079

What lovely spring weather we’ve been having this past week! All I want to wear are dresses that flow in the breeze. Here is what I wore last weekend to my friend Janelle’s baby girl’s first birthday party. It was a low key outdoor event in Tower Grove Park and we couldn’t have had better weather. And speaking of birthdays, happy birthday to my lovely, creative, hilarious big sister today! I love you, Krista!

  1. You looked great! I meant to tell you that I loved the dress. I feel like I don’t own much red clothing. Maybe I’m afraid I’ll get even more sassy if I wear red? Ha.

  2. I love this dress. I recently saw a slightly dressier black dress with similar tie front at J. Crew. I just love that detail. (And to me it’s more practical – I’ve had dresses that knot in the back but they are really uncomfortable when sitting or driving. This one has a really pretty neckline and looks great on you.

  3. Thank you, Elizabeth!

And Kristin, yes, I like the option to tie in the front as well. This belt is not connected to the dress at all, so you can wear it many ways — back bow, front bow, front tie, no belt at all… and I agree, the knot at the back while you’re sitting down is the worst!
