Ah, October weather is just the best — brisk nights and mornings, clear bright skies in the afternoon, that smell of leaves and spice in the air, it makes me smile all month long! The colors of fall are also all around us — including the goldenrod we see in the fields of wildflowers just outside of St. Louis. Drive a bit west, and that color is everywhere.
This pop of yellow, here in the form of some fun gauchos, is what fall color is all about! While I still tend to reach for neutrals — the creams, grays, taupes, pale pinks, and beiges — when I do crave a pop of color it is usually in the form of a bright red lipstick and/or an eye-popping shoe color. But I love this yellow peeking out from beneath an oversized, chunky knit cream sweater.

Happy October to you, may it be filled with bright golden sunshine and cool morning air. And thank you, Elisha, for taking these lovely pictures for me!
