At the Missouri Botanical Garden, there is a beautiful, peaceful indoor space called the Schoenberg Temperate House. I love to visit whatever the weather; when it’s cold or rainy outside, it is warm and, well, temperate, inside. Within its 8,900 square feet of space is contained a variety of plants that typically thrive in a Mediterranean climate, such as olive trees, fig trees, grapevines, carob, and cork oak. It’s a lovely space where I always feel relaxed and centered.

And I should add that on this day, my dear buddy Elisha and I strolled around the garden for hours just talking and enjoying each other’s company, which is something doctors should start prescribing: mama friend time in a beautiful garden. There, you heard it from me. And thank you, Elisha, for taking these photos!
I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!
