Dress That Mama: Overalls, Ankle Boots, and an Amazing Necklace

DSC_0222

Well hello there and Happy New Year! I’m thrilled to continue the Dress That Mama posts once a week this year, but I must warn you I do consider it a challenge… I just don’t own that much clothing, and I’m pretty sure you’ve seen most of it over the past year! I intend to stick with my goal of keeping it simple, so we’ll see what happens!

But I did get lucky this Christmas! Andrew snuck a few peaks at my small wishlist and I was so excited to see a new pair of Rachel Comey boots under the tree Christmas morning, along with this pair of overalls (a slimmer, more modern version of the classic) I have been eyeing for months. On top of it all, I won a giveaway on Emily’s blog right before Christmas and got this beauty in the mail.DSC_0228Wow is it great to win free stuff, but especially a gorgeous piece of jewelry that is really truly my style! It is beautifully made and so unique. Check out the talented Denver artist Stephanie Utley over at Native Clutter to see more of her beautiful jewelry (I also love the Odyssey Lapis + Pyrite necklace) or check out her Etsy store. Such great stuff! DSC_0229

  1. Love Love LOVE those overalls. I’m only half way through my pregnancy but I am already dreaming of rebuilding a wardrobe when I’m done being pregnant and back to my pre pregnancy weight. I am always so inspired by these posts. So glad you are keeping it up this year:)

  2. gorgeous! everything! and what a lucky lady you are to get those boots. i think next fall i’m gonna ask you to pick out a pair of comey boots for me. you’ve definitely turned me into a believer and next fall i’ll be ready (and in need!) of taking the plunge. like erin said, i love your dress that mama posts. the photos take over my pinterest style board!

  3. Thank you, Emily! And I stand by Rachel Comey’s shoes for sure! I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them! The leather is super soft and high quality, and the shoes fit like a glove. I think they would look adorable on you! But just be warned, once you buy one pair, you’re going to want another!
