Dress That Mama

DSC_0041I ordered this dress back in February from a new little shop called Sonnet James… I thought the philosophy was great, “play dresses for playful moms,” but I didn’t understand quite what that meant until I put the dress on. It is flattering in all the right places and the material feels like a slightly heavier jersey, stretchy and soft and very comfortable. After a day of chasing around my boys and bending over, squatting down, and lifting up little guys, I can vouch for its playfulness and its usefulness. I was comfortable, but I also felt pretty. If you’re looking for a good dress, I highly recommend this one! DSC_0059Also, here’s how I accessorized- (from left, my grandmother’s wedding band, a flea market goodie I found when introduced to the very talented (and funny!) jewelry maker Jenny Walker– and Tiro Tiro Porta ring). The cuff is from Anthropologie, no longer in stock, but this one is similar.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Hey Lauren! What a lovely outfit! I noticed and admired your ring in your picture with the beautiful Robin’s egg the other day. 🙂 Nothing like the flea market for finding the most serendipitous goodies. If you have the maker’s info I’d love to check it out…thanks! xo

  2. My niece won the Sonnet James giveaway over at Love Taza! She just showed a photo on fb of all her dresses arriving, wow, such luck! She just had her third baby and I know she will rock those frocks hard. Just like you! Can’t wait to see the playful adventures this dress embarks upon!

  3. Cristi, I will email you her contact information!

And Heather, whoa! Your niece is one lucky gal! You’d better believe I entered that giveaway. What a good one!

  4. What a smart idea for a clothing line. Your jewelry is so pretty too. I’ve been going extreme minimalist lately with just my wedding band, but I think I’m ready for a little more accessorizing.
