Dress That Mama

Another take on the long white skirt… pair it with a tied up denim shirt and clogs and a long braid, and I feel really pulled together in a classic way. Good for running errands in the chilly summer mornings and grabbing a coffee with friends!ย IMG_0013

IMG_0018Just loving the moderate climate in St. Louis this summer… I just couldn’t ask for more pleasant weather! Hope it’s nice wherever you are.

  1. That looks awesome. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen your fave shoes from the back too ๐Ÿ™‚
may I ask, how tall are you?

  2. ha, that’s awesome to know (in case i just might steal some clothing ideas from you): i’m 5’4″ ๐Ÿ™‚
    thanks!

  3. Love this!
Do you have any suggestions for good nursing tops/outfits? (A top like this is great.) Also, any tips on a postpartum body slowly making it’s way to it’s pre pregnancy size? I’m struggling a lot right now bc I don’t want to invest in clothes until I’m at a size I feel comfortable with and yet I have nothing to wear in this season. You’ve been through this 3 times, so if you have any advice I would love to hear;) xo

  4. Erin, I think my best friends while nursing were button-downs and v-neck shirts, honestly. I didn’t buy one special nursing top, just tried to make what I had work (which also means wearing the same things over and over again). In transition to getting back into your clothes, I know it’s hard. I wore a lot of flowy tunics and long loose dresses until I felt comfortable in the old stuff. I know you don’t want to invest in clothes right now, but maybe one long dress that you’re sure you would wear once you’ve shrunk ๐Ÿ™‚ back down would be worth it? I think it’s really uplifting to treat yourself post-pregnancy and baby to a nice dress or skirt that you will wear all the time. Oh, and speaking of skirts, high-waisted ones like this are really flattering because they are cinched up a bit higher yet puff out over a tummy! Trust me! Plus, you can untuck if you rather breastfeed that way!
