Well, guys and gals, it’s freaking freezing here; yesterday our high was 9 degrees. I’m thinking this post is right on time! If you’re looking for some inspiration to keep your kids busy inside, head over to the Washington Post for a complete list of ideas.

P.s. — I’m currently… um… prepping… for a colonoscopy tomorrow. Fun. I’ll let you know how that goes, if you’re into that sort of thing.

  1. Ugh, I had a colonoscopy a few months ago and the “prepping” was no fun at all … You have my sympathy! But that was by far the worst part of the whole procedure, so I hope you are over and done with it soon!

  2. Gross. I had to have one as a teenager. I’ve heard the prep is a little easier these days, but still, no fun. Good luck.

My oldest had a gumball party (which was really a candy party) and we had the kids build structures with gumdrops and toothpicks – your picture reminded me of that.

  3. Love the activities, we need to do all of them! And yikes, colonoscopy does not sound fun. I am such a wuss when it comes to all things medical, good luck.

  4. The tapestry table looks really neat. And I was thinking about your button-sewing frames the other day. The table and frames would make a nice sewing spot together. I may be heading over to the Goodwill store this week!
