As usual, a thoughtful and intelligent article. Nicely done! Your children are so sweet, and seem like genuinely good people.
My littlest has a hard time with the idea that buying a present for a friend doesn’t also automatically mean getting something for herself. Her big brother, six years older than her, is more able to handle this concept. Giving is fun, and sometimes difficult. I think it’s one of those things that takes a lot of practice, and lots of examples of generosity from the people in their lives.
